About this Event:
You’ll discover why it’s so hard for them, and what you can do to remove the barriers that keep them from being successful. You will learn how to focus the attention of busy board members so they can raise the most money with the least effort, using activities they can embrace with joy and ease. As a result of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Name the prospects board members should prioritize as they raise money (it’s not what you think);
- Articulate the three most important things that board members should do to retain donors;
- List at least three things board members can do comfortably to connect donors to the mission.
Trainer: Susan Howlett has been raising money joyfully for 45 years, as a board member, development director, executive director, and consultant to thousands of nonprofits nationwide. Author of two award-winning books — “Boards on Fire” and “Getting Funded,” she’s been lead faculty in UW’s year-long Fundraising Program since 1990. She speaks and trains nationally, known for offering practical solutions to persistent problems, delivered with humor, stories, and chocolate.
Organizations with a budget under $1 million are eligible for a $20 discount, which will show up in the ticket options.
Once you have registred on Eventbrite, a group email will be sent to particpants a few days before the scheduled date with information on how to register with Zoom to receive your participant link.
