As a member of our Audit Department, you will be assigned to engagements that will provide opportunities for you to enhance your own professional, technical and interpersonal skills. You will participate in department-wide decision-making and direct client service. You will have the opportunity to help grow the firm and your own professional network by joining firm leaders and other team members at presentations, conferences and other continuing education events.
What You’ll Do For JJCo
We are looking for an Audit Manager to join our team. Our managers, like our partners, are working auditors. You will be leading engagements from start to finish, including planning, supervising and completing the engagement while managing client deadlines, monitoring performance against budget, and communicating engagement status and concerns with the engagement partner. You will develop and maintain a relationship with the clients which continues beyond audit weeks. You will also supervise audit seniors and associates assigned to your engagement team, including performing the detailed review of seniors’ and associates’ work.
As a manager with an entrepreneurial spirit, you will have continued opportunities to grow as a professional. You will assist with business development, including preparing proposals, networking with peers and other industry professionals, making public presentations and recruiting new team members. While there is a clear path to partner, there is no pressure to pursue that goal.
Who You Are
You bring at least five years of recent auditing experience with a public accounting firm and are a licensed CPA that has not been sanctioned by any jurisdiction. You’ll be able to demonstrate mastery of accounting principles generally accepted in the United States. You’ll be able to demonstrate mastery of generally accepted auditing standards and generally accepted governmental auditing standards. Your written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills are excellent. You can also demonstrate your ability to train and manage your audit team.
Ideally, you are located in the Seattle area. You can demonstrate mastery of nonprofit GAAP. You can demonstrate understanding of “the business of a CPA firm.”
What We Will Do For You
- Fully remote or hybrid work location.
- Compensation between $110,000 and $130,000, depending on experience and location.
