Certified public accounting firm specializing in nonprofit and not-for-profit organizations. Helping nonprofits to work better, not harder since 1991.
Jacobson Jarvis was founded in 1991 as the only certified public accounting firm in the Northwest to focus its nonprofit audit, tax, and consulting capacity on the not-for-profit community. And we have remained true to that charter.
In 2020, Jacobson Jarvis joined a like-minded CPA firm in Southern California that appreciated our successful business model and amazing client relationships. Jacobson Jarvis is now bringing our expertise to a new market to serve not-for-profits.
At Jacobson Jarvis, our mission is to help nonprofits work better, not harder, enabling them to have more time to accomplish their mission.
Working with y’all is an absolute joy, and I could talk until I’m blue in the face telling people why.
Jacobson Jarvis’s senior leadership team is a leading authority on issues impacting not-for-profits. As frequent speakers at not-for-profit conferences and active participants in state and national committees regarding not-for-profit accounting and tax-related matters, they routinely provide in-depth board training in the areas of governance, financial reporting and other tax-related issues.
We attract professionals with a deep passion for community service, and retain them longer than most firms. Many of our team members have served, or continue to serve, not-for-profits as consultants, board members, and volunteers. This serves to reinforce our sharp insight into the complex needs of the sector, which drives solid and informed recommendations for their clients. Low staff turnover and strong client satisfaction have resulted in strong client retention rates and high rates of referrals from existing clients.
Jacobson Jarvis assists a broad range of clients, from small not-for-profits and family foundations to large organizations headquartered on the West Coast. They include not-for-profits with focuses on everything from the environment to human services, arts to education.
